Spectrum Spring Concert 2017: Joywave & New Politics

I got some awesome photos of the concert last night!

Here’s what I thought of both bands:

Joywave put on a great show. I didn’t start listening to them until just recently, but I really dig their sound. The lead singer seemingly hit every note spot-on, although the vocals were a bit quiet. But that’s my only complaint about their set. Overall, I’d say their performance made the 8 dollar ticket well beyond worth its value.

New Politics brought a ton of energy to the stage. I had never really checked them out before the show, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Throughout their set, the lead singer did front flips, stood on his head, windmilled, and made it look easy! I can’t say that I’m a huge fan of their music, but I’ll give them credit for having a remarkable stage presence.

In case you missed it: check out my timeline of a bunch of other bands / musicians that have performed in Fredonia.
