Fred Flashbacks #5

This week in Fredonia, 20 years ago:

WNYF hosted the grand opening of the new TV station in the basement of Hendrix Hall.

The previous TV station was housed in Jewett Hall, but closed due to fire code violations. Apparently the space in Hendrix used to be a cafeteria.

Here’s the second half of the article. Some of you may recognize a few of the names buried in there.

This photo was taken during an open mic. A well composed image, if I may say so myself.

A student wrote this awesome profile on Julie Newell, a professor of voice here at Fredonia. It’s a lengthy article, but it’s well-worth reading! (click to enlarge images)

Julie used to be a student here at the university, and she claims that “Coming to Fredonia was the most substantial and most influential life choice I have made to this date.”

I wonder if that still holds true, twenty years later.

This image was featured in the arts section. Not too sure what’s going on here…There wasn’t a cutline to provide any sort of context.
